I'm looking for suggestions for alpine treks, preferably in the N Cascades (or even BC) that are similar in technical difficulty of the Ptarmigan Traverse, stunning beauty, remote, but perhaps 4-5 days in length to do it comfortably. (I'm aware that Ptarmigan can be done in that timeframe, but we are more interested in a quality experience than rushing through it.) This will be a group of three, with solid alpine technical skills. Thank you!

Are you planning on climbing any peaks? 4 or 5 days seems like a reasonably casual traverse if you're not climbing any peaks.

The J Section of the PCT is about 75 miles.

That High Route is mind blowing, and obviously far, far beyond what I'm seeking. But it was sooooo good to watch, I shared it with several others. Thanks for that. I did PCT back in the 80's (pre-ultralight, pre-Instagram). Definitely in the top two favorite sections, but not really interested in doing it again (esp. risking encountering hordes of today's PCT hikers). Looking for something generally offtrail, that is mildly technical, in alpine terrain. An objective like a peak would be nice, but not required. Perhaps circumnavigation of some range or subrange? Keep the suggestions coming...

Tom, we're sending them over the river these days. Mineral - Ruth - Icy - Blister in a loop from the Baker Trailhead.

Chiwaukum high route or traverse Daniel to Hinman Pasayten Wilderness Lots of stuff out of Stehekin & Holden. You could map a lollipop loop

Experience is what'cha get, when you get what'cha don't want
