Maybe a troll, but I just completed this trip and it was fantastic. We did Bacon Creek--Berdeen Lake--Hagan Masiff--Blum Lakes over 5 days and that was more than enough. Could have done it comfortably over 4 days, but there's no reason to rush this area.

What on Earth do you mean "a safe route in?" I don't know anything about you or your capabilities - I have no idea what you consider "safe" but I suspect that my definition of it and yours would be somewhat different. You'll just have to review the available information and make that call for yourself.

If by "safe" you mean on trail with no scrambling; No, there is no route like that. Berdeen is a hidden jewel because it's difficult to get to and entirely off trail.

If life gives you melons - you might be dyslexic

We repeated this route last week. 3 exited down Blum access while Anita and I exited via Ipsoot Lake, which isn't any easier than the other portals to the area. I'll post a TR re the Ipsoot Lake exit one of these days.

I don’t suppose you tracked the mileage and elevation gain? I am super interested in making a trip to this lake but need more data. I don’t suppose you guys are going back this summer?
