The USFS map showed a structure just west of Cache Creek so I went to check it out. I found the remnants of a stone structure and possibly an outhouse under some downfall. Does anyone have any insight as to what this once was?

I'd hazard a guess that it was a midway stop for some of the folks that carried mail up to the Barron mines. Perhaps Azurite as well, off the top my head I forget what the standardized winter access was for that one.
