Good luck. That last rocky stretch is "Pretty Rough", but you can't beat the views.

Wow, that looks remarkably melted out already for April.

I was thinking the same thing, but then I remembered going up to Forgotten Meadows in early May a few years ago and Perry Creek was almost completely melted out by then.

I can't remember the earliest I've tried getting up there. I guess it is fairly low elevation and south facing is a significant factor. Maybe the road getting opened is a bigger barrier to access than snow on the trail many years?

Probably true for some years. It was 75 degrees and in full sun most of the way up, melting out fast!

Went out for Friday - Saturday last weekend to the East Bank trail on Baker Lake. The weather was amazing and many flowers and hummingbirds. Noisy creek was pretty as usual.

I am posting this a couple of weeks late: I hiked up to Bandera's west peak for sunset. I had aspirations to continue to the main peak, but there was a lot of snow on the ridge and I did not have very much daylight left, so I decided to leave it for another time.

Nie pics! For your trip to Noisy Creek, did you enter from the south or the north side? I did some WTA trail work a few years back near Noisy, and it is time for me to get back there... Thanks!

Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim with Dave and Selena, Apr 28. Delayed the hike by a few days because of weather, but everything worked out great. 45 miles, 11000' gain, 18 hr.

It's a Pixel 7 Pro. I love mine, 1 generation behind, but probably best deal out there for an unlocked phone with premium camera and 512 GB storage: https://electronics.woot.com/offers/new-google-pixel-7-pro-1
