Yes, it was painted green. At one time the summit route was following the fallen cable.

Thanks for giving that information. Sure adds to the fun of hiking around my backyard and knowing the history. After a little searching of Issaquah Alps Trails Club website I found the article Bill Longwell wrote about building and staying at the cabin. Makes me want to keep on searching for the old articles.
