Took a nice Sabbath stroll down to Guillemot Cove Nature Preserve along Hood Canal. In case you didn’t know, a guillemot is a type of coastal bird, which I didn’t see on this trip.

Washington?s state flower, the pacific rhododendron has for the most part finished blooming for the season. But I did find a small few that were still getting ready to bloom. These shrubs grow in amazing abundance along Hood Canal.
