Nice text, dude.  Not that the photos suck, or anything, but really, really nice text.
Headed to the coast tomorrow with my brother. Not sure I'll be able to create an elegant, flowing trip report such as yours; indeed - the only thing my brother wanted to ensure about our packing plans was that I have an appropriately sized cooler for the beer.

I often time my ocean excursions to Westport around low tides to ride my mountain bike on the hard pack. Great fun. I usually camp at Twin Harbors State Park, ride into town on the road, hit the beach at Westhaven State Park, and ride downwind back to the campground.
Warning: Tis hell on the bike though...lots of grit and salt water.
